3. What are the stages of recovery in a patient with Brain Injury?

Ans: A patient with Traumatic Brain injury passes through various recovery stage which can be technically named as RLA staging. In simple words, person with brain injury initially goes to coma, then vegetative state, then a minimally conscious state followed by following simple commands, confused, agitated and then slowly start giving appropriate responses to simple and complex commands. There can be subtle cognitive issues which can take a long time to resolve.

● Electrolyte Imbalance: There can be imbalance in salts of the body like sodium and potassium. So regular blood tests are required in initial phase.
